In the period 2013-2014, we have been organizers and co-oprganizers of two international scientific conferebces. First, in November 2013, it was the Conference iRegions focused on variety of political, social, economic and environmental transitionsin last two decades in Central Europe. In April 2014, we organized the conference of Czech Association of Geomorphologists held in Teplice and summarizing the state of geomorphologic research up to date.

The book Studies on Environmental and Applied Geomorphology (editors: T. Piacentini and E. Miccadei) with a contribution of P. Raska was published by Intech and is accessible at the Intech website. »
Our sister-unit CEVRAMOK has launched new project aiming at implementation of virtual reality and modelling (via CAVE system) to geographical education at the departmkent. The project is co-financed by Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (Czech Republic) and European Social Fund.

In May 15-16 2009 we attended the Conference of Irish Geographies 2009 - Prospect and Retrospect, organized by Geographical Society of Ireland and held at the Department of Geography, University College Cork. For days after the conference, the team had arranged a journey accross the Ireland to get materials for university courses as well as comparative material for research studies.
